Quantex Company 2023 Round-up
18th December 2023
As we near the end of 2023, it’s a time to reflect on how the year has been for all of us at Quantex and the changes and growth that have taken place. Much like 2022, it’s been another fruitful year with multiple opportunities for success and development.
One of the biggest changes was our decision to step away from the medical market and instead integrate some of our products and technology with PSG Biotech’s well-established biopharma pump brand, Quattroflow. Following this successful partnership, Quattroflow has now launched the first of a brand new line of ‘QB’ pumps based on our Quantex single-use rotary pump technology. This brand-new QB2-SD pump (further developed from our QX2-SD pump) is fully certified for biopharma and sits within PSG Biotech Quattroflow’s portfolio of flow control solutions for the biopharma industry.
In August, after 13 years as Founder and Quantex CEO, Dr Paul Pankhurst moved on from the company to explore non-exec roles in the hope of passing on some of his knowledge gained over the last 43 years commercialising innovation. Whilst this was the end of an era, we wish him all the best and look forward to continuing to build his legacy with our parent company, PSG.
2023 has been a year of success, and some of our successes can be noted by the awards we’ve been nominated for and won. We’ve been delighted to receive Food and Drink Matters award for ‘outstanding achievement’ where they quoted “Quantex pioneering technology is changing the game across multiple sectors”. We were also presented with the ‘Pump Technology Company of the Year 2023’ by Industry Update UK who specifically champion and celebrate innovative companies.
When it comes to product launches and updates, our team was very pleased to launch our first commercial pump driver: Q-Drive-Alpha, a plug-and-play pump driver device for Microdosing and Low flow pumps. What makes it so compelling is its intuitive, easy-to-use design, and that it can be used both for pump evaluation as well as for commercial use in production or laboratories.
In addition to the positive launch of the Q-Drive-Alpha, we updated our Pump and Evaluation Kit Datasheets, with the addition of an exciting new line of pumps in development. Within each range of Low Flow, Bag-in-Box and High Flow pumps, we have an additional variant called the ‘High-Speed Eco’ pumps. These live up to their name because the pumps use air pressure to activate the diaphragm and seal the pumps instead of a silicone spring, which is easier to recycle and can run almost three times as fast as our standard or high-pressure pumps.
It’s been a busy year for our sales and marketing team too, they’ve taken us to some fantastic trade shows such as Interphex 2023 and BioProcess International Europe 2023 where we supported Quattroflow displaying our Microdosing and Low Flow technology; and to EuroShop – The World´s No. 1 Retail Trade Fair show in Düsseldorf where we saw many of our clients successfully using Quantex technology within their displays and products.
We’ve also been featured in various magazines including Food & Drink Processing & Packaging, where we were asked about how our game-changing recyclable pump technology optimises manufacturing efficiency (issue 48, pages 12-13) and Business and Industry Today, who wanted to learn more about how our High-Speed eco pumps demonstrate dilution pump evolution (edition 379, page 30).
Furthering our commitment to continuously connect with the various industries and applications that benefit from our technology, we produced some insightful articles looking into:
- How to transfer high-viscosity liquids
- How Quantex pumps manage the high viscosity of chocolate solutions
- A cross-section video showing to show how our ‘Standard’ and ‘High-Pressure’ Quantex disposable precision pumps work
- Top 10 business benefits of refillable drinks and bulk-refill
- How to dispense highly concentrated solutions to reduce your carbon footprint
- Dispensing thick luscious creams or gels for the beauty industry
- How Quantex pumps are designed to suit different flowrates and configurations
With further support from PSG and our sister brands, 2023 has been quite a momentous year, but it’s all thanks to the hard work and efforts of our talented team. We look forward to 2024 with open arms and wish you and your family a relaxing and joyful time for the holiday season and New Year celebrations.
